If people are educated they can check the government abuse of power, if people remain uneducated the government can rule and oppress as it wishes.

This much-loved painting of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was owned by her late husband, Dr Michael Aris, and now hangs in her old college in Oxford. The back is printed with her appeal on behalf of Prospect Burma's students.
Copies of the greetings card will be available at £1.50 each or £7 for five plus post and packing from the Prospect Burma office at the address below. Please make your cheque payable to Prospect Burma.
