We are pleased to inform you that PANACEA, one of the Erasmus Mundus
projects selected in the last call for proposals, is now opened for
applications until 15 February 2013. The University of Montpellier 2 in
France is the Coordinator of PANACEA and the Asian Institute of
Technology (AIT) is Joint-Coordinator

2   Link   Graduate Programme for Transcultural Studies
The programme offers a monthly scholarship of 1.200 Euro. It further
supports scholarship holders in framing their research through advanced
courses and individual supervision and mentoring. Half of the scholarships
are reserved for young scholars from Asia.

Applicants are expected to propose a doctoral project with a strong
affiliation to the research framework of the Cluster. They must hold an M.A.
or equivalent in a discipline of the humanities or social sciences with an
above-average grade. Applications, including a CV, a letter of intention, a
project proposal, a schedule for the dissertation, and two referees for
recommendation are submitted through an Online Application System.

The Heinz Fellowship is offered annually and provides for one year of practical, professional, and non-degree educational experiences through the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Heinz Fellowships are granted to individuals from developing countries who demonstrate potential as future leaders in the public, government, non-profit, or private sectors. The goal is to improve the Fellows' capacity to contribute to the development of their country and to enhance their understanding of the United States. This is accomplished through a year of auditing selected courses and participating in practical professional activities while based in Pittsburgh. Courses taken as part of the Heinz Fellowship do not earn credit towards an academic degree

Rotary Peace Fellowships are offered on a world competitive basis. This means that all Rotary Clubs have the opportunity each year to submit any number of qualified candidates from their area for competition for one of over a hundred fellowships. The Rotary Peace Fellowships provide individuals committed to building peace and resolving conflicts with the opportunity to study in a one or two-year master's degree program, or in a three-month intensive professional development program, in international relations, peace studies and conflict resolution. I’m happy to announce that the 2013-2014 Community Solutions Program has recently added Burma to its list of eligible countries for this year’s program. All qualified individuals from Burma who are interested in applying can submit an application between Friday, January 18 and Friday, February 15,, 2013.

This is the third round of the Community Solutions Program, a professional development program for the best and brightest global community leaders working in Transparency & Accountability, Tolerance & Conflict Resolution, Environmental Issues, and Women & Gender Issues. Selected candidates will participate in: a four month U.S. fellowship with a local nonprofit organization or government agency; structured virtual learning and networking via the Online Community Leadership Institute; and, the design and implementation of follow-on projects in their home countries. The program will also include a small outbound component that will allow up to five U.S. host representatives to travel overseas for approximately two weeks on projects related to the program themes.

As this is our first year recruiting applicants from Burma, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in disseminating this announcement and attached flyer to your colleagues and contacts that might be interested in participating in the program. As mentioned above, the application deadline is Friday, February 15, 2013 at 12pm EST.
