Prospect Burma
We don't know what will happen in Burma tomorrow, but it is important that we are ready for change and transition when it takes place.

Therefore I want to be part of the struggle to build a more peaceful and just society, and use the skills I have gained to benefit the country as a whole.
Prospect Burma Alumni - the "ripple effect" of your support.

thumb_Sasas_new_training_centreHaving trained over 300 community health workers at the Health and Hope centre in Mizoram last year (all of whom are now back working in remote villages in Chin state), PB alumnus, Dr Sasa, is building a new centre in Lailenpi, inside Chin State, due to open in April to train a further 400 community health workers.  Our thoughts are with him and the community health workers whose skills are now aiding the lives of over 130,000 Burmese people in 147 villages, who previously had no access to medical care.  Through the generosity of our supporters, Dr Sasa received a scholarship from Prospect Burma for seven years, and graduated as a doctor in 2009. All Prospect Burma's scholarship students commit to return to Burma with their new found skills when possible.
