If people are educated they can check the government abuse of power, if people remain uneducated the government can rule and oppress as it wishes.

APPLICATION FOR 2013 IS NOW CLOSED
Prospect Burma runs an annual scholarships competition. There is intense demand for our scholarship awards, and incomplete or badly completed applications are likely to be rejected immediately. Please ensure that you submit your application by the deadline of 8 March 2013. Applications received after that date will not be considered.
• Full guidance notes and application forms are on the Scholarship Applications page of this website. Please read all the guidance carefully before completing your form.
• There are three application forms: a shortened one for continuing students who received a Grant from us in 2012; and two for other applicants (one for those wishing to study in Southeast Asia or Hong Kong and one for all others). Make sure you select the correct one.
If you received a grant from Prospect Burma in 2012 and are seeking continued funding, you must submit a study report on your experiences during the 2012-13 academic year. We will not award a new grant without it. Please use the Study Report Template, which you can down load here
